Golden Touch is authorized as “Third Party Aggregator” (TPA) under Apprentice Act. 1961, by Director General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.
Apprenticeship Act, 1961
• The Apprentices Act, 1961 was enacted with the objective of regulating the program of training of apprentices in the industry by utilizing the facilities available therein for imparting on-the-job training. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is the administrative ministry responsible for implementation of this Act.
• Apprenticeship Training consists of Basic Training and On-the-Job Training/Practical Training at workplace in the industry.
• Apprenticeship is a contractual arrangement by which an employer engages persons with specific qualifications for a fixed period to work in his establishment. The period of training varies from 1 to 2 years depending on the qualification, category and type of apprenticeship.
• The contract is to be registered with state/central government. During the period of apprenticeship employer has to pay stipend at the minimum prescribed rate. No labor laws applicable to apprentices.
• There is no obligation to the employer to provide any employment to the apprentice after completion of apprenticeship.
NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme)
- Objectives
Sharing of 25% of prescribed stipend subject to a maximum of INR 1500/- per month per apprentice with the employers. The stipend support would not be given during the basic training period for fresher apprentices.
- Scope
This scheme will cover all categories of apprentices except apprentices which are covered under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) administered by Ministry of Human Resource Development.
- Component
